Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information CALIAN collects when you use calian.in, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to sell and deliver your order.
What we collect
Order details: your name, delivery and billing address, email address and mobile number, and what you ordered.
Account details: if you create an account, your name, email address and a password, which we store only in encrypted (hashed) form.
Payment details: payments are handled by our payment provider, Cashfree Payments. Your card, UPI and bank details go directly to them; we never see or store them. We only receive the payment status and a reference number.
Reviews: if you review a product, the review and your first name and last initial are shown on the site.
Newsletter: your email address, only if you tick the box to receive our emails.
Technical data: our servers keep basic logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and working.
How we use it
to process, deliver and support your orders, including returns and refunds;
to send order and delivery emails;
to send our newsletter, if you asked for it;
to prevent fraud and keep the site secure;
to keep the records that tax and accounting law requires.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who we share it with
Only with the companies that help us run the shop, and only what each one needs:
Cashfree Payments, to take your payment;
our courier partners, to deliver your order (name, address and phone number);
our hosting and email providers, who store the site and send our emails.
We may also share information when the law requires it.
Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs to work: one keeps you signed in and remembers your bag, and one protects forms against misuse. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, currently up to 8 years. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Newsletter emails stop as soon as you unsubscribe, using the link in any email.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you emails. Write to info@calian.in and we'll reply within 30 days. We may need to keep some order records where the law requires it.
Grievance officer
If you have a concern about how your information is handled, contact our grievance officer at info@calian.in or +91 90378 97501. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date below.
